ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT FOR TRUFAMED URGENT CARE

TrufaMED Urgent Care is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities.

Effective Date: January 1, 2026 | Last Updated: January 1, 2026

Our Commitment to Accessibility

TrufaMED Urgent Care (“TrufaMED,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to ensuring that our website, trufamed.com, is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities, in accordance with applicable federal and state laws. We strive to provide a positive and inclusive digital experience for every visitor, patient, and community member.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we are continuously working to improve the usability and accessibility of our digital properties to ensure they conform to applicable standards and guidelines.

Standards and Guidelines

TrufaMED endeavors to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA success criteria, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). These guidelines provide a framework to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including but not limited to visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Conformance Status

The WCAG defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. TrufaMED’s website (trufamed.com) is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Fully conformant” means that the content fully meets the accessibility standard without any known exceptions.

TrufaMED is committed to maintaining this level of conformance and will continue to monitor and remediate any accessibility barriers that may arise as the website evolves.

Accessibility Measures Implemented

TrufaMED has taken and continues to take the following measures to ensure the accessibility of our website:

  • Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements maintain color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements — a minimum of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and user interface components.
  • Keyboard Navigation: Full keyboard navigation support with visible focus indicators throughout the site, ensuring users who cannot use a mouse can access all interactive content.
  • Skip Navigation: A skip-to-content link is provided at the top of each page, allowing keyboard and assistive technology users to bypass repetitive navigation elements.
  • Alternative Text: Descriptive alternative (alt) text is provided on meaningful images. Decorative images are appropriately marked to be ignored by assistive technologies.
  • ARIA Attributes: Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) labels and roles are used on interactive elements, landmarks, and navigation to enhance compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies.
  • Semantic HTML: The website uses semantic HTML structure including proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, lists, and form labels to provide meaningful structure for assistive technologies.
  • Text Resizing: Content supports browser text zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality, in accordance with WCAG 1.4.4.
  • Motion and Animation: Reduced motion preferences are respected for users with vestibular disorders or motion sensitivity, in accordance with WCAG 2.3.3.
  • Readable Text: Minimum text sizes are maintained to ensure legibility across all devices and screen sizes.
  • Form Accessibility: All form fields include associated labels, and error messages are programmatically associated with their respective fields.

Applicable Laws and Regulations

TrufaMED’s accessibility efforts are undertaken in consideration of the following legal requirements and guidance:

  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Title III of the ADA requires that places of public accommodation, including healthcare providers, ensure that their goods, services, and communications — including websites — are accessible to individuals with disabilities. On April 24, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice published a final rule under Title II of the ADA establishing WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the technical standard for web accessibility for state and local government entities. While this rule directly applies to Title II entities, TrufaMED voluntarily adopts WCAG 2.2 Level AA as its accessibility benchmark consistent with the DOJ’s guidance and enforcement priorities under Title III.
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973: To the extent applicable, TrufaMED endeavors to comply with Section 504, which prohibits disability discrimination by recipients of federal financial assistance.
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act: While primarily applicable to federal agencies, TrufaMED uses Section 508 standards as additional guidance for our accessibility practices.
  • Florida Statutes: TrufaMED operates in compliance with applicable Florida state laws prohibiting discrimination against individuals with disabilities.

Ongoing Accessibility Considerations

TrufaMED has addressed all identified accessibility barriers on our website. However, as our website continues to evolve with new content and features, we acknowledge the following areas that require ongoing attention:

  • Third-Party Content: Some content provided by third-party services, plugins, or embedded applications (such as scheduling widgets, payment portals, maps, or social media feeds) may not be fully accessible. We work with our vendors to improve the accessibility of these components and provide accessible alternatives where feasible.
  • PDF Documents: Some PDF documents on our website may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to remediate existing PDFs and ensure new documents meet accessibility standards. Accessible alternatives are available upon request.
  • Legacy Content: Older content created before the implementation of our accessibility standards may contain barriers. We are systematically reviewing and remediating legacy content.
  • Dynamic Content: Some dynamically generated or interactive content may have accessibility limitations that we are working to resolve.

Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technologies

TrufaMED’s website is designed to be compatible with the following:

  • Browsers: Recent versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
  • Assistive Technologies: Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and Apple VoiceOver; screen magnification software; speech recognition software; alternative input devices; and operating system accessibility features.

The website may not display or function optimally in older browser versions or with unsupported assistive technologies. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest versions of supported browsers.

Technical Specifications

Accessibility of TrufaMED’s website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML (HyperText Markup Language)
  • CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
  • JavaScript
  • WAI-ARIA (Web Accessibility Initiative – Accessible Rich Internet Applications)

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Assessment Methods

TrufaMED assesses the accessibility of its website through the following methods:

  • Automated Testing: Regular scanning using the axe by Deque automated accessibility testing engine and other industry-standard evaluation tools to identify and remediate potential barriers.
  • Manual Testing: Keyboard navigation testing, screen reader testing, and manual code review to identify issues that automated tools may not detect.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Periodic reviews of website content and functionality to maintain accessibility standards as the website evolves.
