If you are visiting Miami Beach and you wake up sick, hurt, dehydrated, or in pain, the last thing you want is to drag yourself into a strange clinic in a strange city. There is a better way, and most hotel concierges in Miami Beach already know us by name.

TrufaMED is a Joint Commission–accredited medical practice in Surfside, fifteen minutes from South Beach, that runs three guest-facing service lines: in-clinic urgent care, mobile IV therapy delivered to your room, and physician house calls dispatched directly to your suite. This is the playbook for visitors.

Option 1: A Physician House Call to Your Hotel Room

Our physician house call service sends a licensed MD directly to your hotel room with portable diagnostic equipment: pulse oximetry, blood pressure cuff, EKG, otoscope, ultrasound, point-of-care lab kits, IV start supplies, suture kit, and emergency medications. The physician can examine, treat, and write prescriptions on the spot. Most visits resolve at bedside; the small number that need a higher level of care receive a physician-coordinated handoff to Mount Sinai Miami Beach, Cleveland Clinic, or Jackson Memorial.

Pricing is straightforward: $1,100 for a same-day visit, $1,600 for a rapid (under-two-hour) dispatch, and $2,500 for after-hours service available 24/7. No membership is required. Dispatch is handled at (305) 842-9801.

Option 2: Mobile IV Therapy at Your Hotel

If the issue is dehydration, hangover, jet lag, food poisoning recovery, or general fatigue, our mobile IV therapy team can dispatch a Florida-licensed RN to your hotel room with eighteen physician-formulated IV options. The most-ordered formulas for hotel guests are:

  • Hangover Recovery ($275) — after a heavy night
  • Rehydrate+ ($225) — for general dehydration or post-flight recovery
  • Myers' Cocktail ($280) — immune and energy boost, often before or after travel
  • Food Poisoning & Stomach Flu IV ($295) — for guests who picked up something unexpected
  • Jet lag and pre-flight formulas — ask the dispatcher

Mobile IV bookings are usually completed within two hours of request during operating hours. Same-day bookings are most reliable when placed before noon.

Option 3: Walk-In or Reserved Urgent Care at Our Surfside Clinic

Our Surfside clinic at 9445 Harding Avenue is fifteen minutes north of South Beach by car or rideshare. It is Florida's only Joint Commission–accredited urgent care, with on-site digital X-ray, ultrasound, EKG, and CLIA-certified lab. Most insurance is accepted including travel insurance, and self-pay rates are published.

Hours are Monday through Friday 9 AM to 9 PM, Saturday 11 AM to 11 PM (the latest urgent care hours in Miami Beach), and Sunday noon to 8 PM. You can reserve a spot online to skip the waiting room.

When to Choose Which Option

A reasonable decision framework:

  • House call if you have a fever, suspected flu/COVID/strep, are immunocompromised, have a small child too sick to travel, or you are simply unable to leave the room comfortably.
  • Mobile IV if your issue is hydration, hangover, jet lag, post-illness recovery, or wellness boost rather than a true acute illness.
  • Urgent care if you need imaging (X-ray, ultrasound), comprehensive lab work, or you simply prefer a clinical setting and are well enough to travel fifteen minutes.
  • 911 / emergency department for any chest pain, sudden severe headache, suspected stroke (face droop, arm weakness, speech changes), severe shortness of breath, severe bleeding, or loss of consciousness.

Working With Your Hotel Concierge

Most major Miami Beach hotel concierges — Faena, Setai, EDITION, 1 Hotel, Fontainebleau, Loews, Mondrian, W, Eden Roc, Carillon Wellness, Four Seasons Surf Club, Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour — have used our services for their guests. If you tell the front desk you want a physician, they can call our dispatch line directly. Charges can typically be billed to your room if that is your preference.

A Note for International Visitors

We see visitors from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Israel, the UK, France, Russia, and a dozen other countries every week. Our staff speaks eight languages. We accept most international travel insurance and can provide itemized invoices for insurance reimbursement after the visit. For visitors paying out of pocket, we accept credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and bank wires for higher-value services.
