Dr. Uri Gedalia leads TrufaMED Urgent Care as Chief Medical Officer, overseeing clinical operations, physician-led urgent care, concierge medicine memberships, and advanced diagnostic services in Surfside, Florida. He also serves as Regional Chief Medical Officer for Advantage Surgical and Wound Care, South Central Region.
Dr. Uri Gedalia is a Board-Certified General Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) who brings decades of surgical, critical care, and clinical leadership experience to TrufaMED. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center and completed his General Surgical Residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City.
Throughout his career, Dr. Gedalia has contributed to peer-reviewed research in biomechanics, abdominal wall reconstruction, bariatric surgery outcomes, trauma management, and vascular access in pediatric patients. His published work has appeared in journals including Spine, the European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, Injury, Seminars in Plastic Surgery, The American Surgeon, and Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases.
At TrufaMED, Dr. Gedalia combines his extensive surgical background with a commitment to accessible, high-quality care. Under his clinical leadership, TrufaMED earned Joint Commission accreditation, becoming Florida’s only Joint Commission-accredited urgent care and one of just eight nationwide. He oversees all clinical services, from walk-in urgent care and concierge medicine memberships to IV therapy, digital X-ray, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
