Most physicians will tell you the same thing: the best time to find a health problem is before it becomes a crisis. An executive physical is the clinical version of that philosophy — a 2 to 3-hour, physician-led evaluation that goes far deeper than the annual check-up most adults receive (or skip entirely) and produces a written report and a current, deep picture of your health you can take to your primary care physician and care team.
For executives, business owners, and high-performing professionals in Miami Beach, this kind of comprehensive health assessment is not a luxury add-on. It is a risk management decision. This guide explains what a TrufaMED executive physical includes, who it is designed for, what it costs, and how to prepare.
A TrufaMED executive physical in Miami Beach is a 2 to 3-hour physician-led evaluation with Dr. Shane D. Naidoo MD that includes a comprehensive physical exam, an advanced laboratory panel (CBC, CMP, urinalysis, HbA1c, fasting insulin, full lipid panel with ApoB and Lp(a), hsCRP, homocysteine, full thyroid with anti-TPO, full hormone panel with SHBG, DHEA-S, AM cortisol, PSA where indicated, vitamin D, B12, folate, iron studies, ferritin, magnesium), 12-lead EKG, digital chest X-ray, and a written Executive Health Report you can share with your PCP. Standard pricing is $1,095. Galleri multi-cancer detection is available as an add-on at $2,045 total. Self-pay only; HSA/FSA eligible.
The term "executive physical" describes a comprehensive health evaluation that goes significantly beyond what a standard annual check-up delivers. Understanding those differences matters before booking.
A routine annual physical typically runs 15 to 20 minutes, includes a basic blood pressure and weight check, and orders a limited lab panel if your insurer covers it. The physician sees you briefly, flags obvious concerns, and moves on. Preventive screening beyond guidelines is rarely offered.
An executive physical inverts that model. The appointment is 2 to 3 hours with a board-certified physician. The lab panel is comprehensive and includes markers most annual check-ups never order: ApoB, Lp(a), full hormone panel including SHBG, full thyroid with anti-TPO antibodies, inflammation markers (hsCRP, homocysteine), insulin and HOMA-IR insulin resistance scoring, vitamin D, and PSA for men over 40. Imaging is ordered based on clinical judgment. The visit ends with a written Executive Health Report formatted to be shared with the patient's primary care physician and any specialists.
A pre-employment physical is a targeted occupational health evaluation — it confirms fitness for a specific role, tests for controlled substances if required, and checks vision and hearing in some industries. It is not designed to be a comprehensive wellness baseline. An executive physical is the opposite: it is entirely about your individual health picture, your risk factors, your family history, and your current health trajectory. The two serve different purposes entirely.
An executive physical is a diagnostic snapshot, not ongoing primary care. TrufaMED performs the comprehensive exam, advanced labs, EKG, and chest X-ray on-site and delivers a complete written report. Ongoing primary care, long-term medication management, specialist coordination over time, and disease management remain with the patient's PCP. The Executive Health Report is designed to give the patient and their existing care team a deep, current picture of their health.
Before your appointment, you complete an online intake that covers personal medical history, family history, lifestyle questionnaire (sleep, stress, nutrition, exercise, substance use), full medication and supplement reconciliation, and any wearable data you choose to share (Apple Health, Oura, WHOOP, Garmin). Fasting instructions are provided in advance.
The on-site visit begins with full vitals: blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, and respiratory rate. Body composition is measured (weight, BMI, waist-hip ratio) and visual acuity is assessed.
A 12-lead resting electrocardiogram is performed and interpreted by the physician during your visit. Orthostatic blood pressure series is included. The physician completes an ASCVD and Framingham cardiovascular risk stratification using your specific data.
TrufaMED's executive panel goes well beyond a standard annual workup. Every panel includes:
Foundation
Advanced Cardiometabolic
Thyroid (Full Panel)
Hormone Panel
Cancer Screening (Men 40+)
Nutrient + Inflammatory
A 12-lead electrocardiogram is performed and interpreted by the physician during your visit. A digital chest X-ray (PA and lateral) is included as part of every executive physical — on-site, interpreted same-visit. See our digital X-ray page for more detail on the on-site imaging suite.
The core of the executive physical is an extended one-on-one consultation with Dr. Shane D. Naidoo MD, our board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and Medical Director. This includes a comprehensive history review, a head-to-toe physical examination, a full-body skin lesion review (documented, with dermatology referral noted if indicated), cardiovascular, abdominal, neurological, and musculoskeletal exams, and lymphatic palpation.
Validated screening instruments are administered and documented: PHQ-9 and GAD-7 for mental health, MoCA for cognitive screening in patients 50 and over, plus sleep quality and sexual health screening. All findings are documented for the patient's PCP to act on.
The Galleri multi-cancer detection test is a blood-based liquid biopsy that screens for signals from more than 50 cancer types using circulating cell-free DNA methylation patterns. It does not replace standard cancer screening protocols (mammography, colonoscopy, PSA) — it adds a layer of detection across cancers that have no current recommended screening pathway.
For executives who want the most comprehensive available health picture, Galleri is the highest-value add-on to the executive physical. The test requires a separate blood draw collected during your visit and results return in approximately 7 to 10 business days. The physician reviews all findings during a dedicated follow-up call.
Galleri adds $950 to the standard $1,095 executive physical for a total of $2,045. Galleri is included at no additional cost for FAMILY+ and SIGNATURE concierge members.
Every executive physical at TrufaMED concludes with a written report delivered to the patient within 2 to 5 business days. The report contains lab interpretation, EKG and chest X-ray interpretation, exam findings, age-appropriate cancer screening reminders (mammogram, colonoscopy, low-dose chest CT, etc.), and documented observations and recommendations for the patient to discuss with their PCP and any specialists. The report is formatted so the patient can share it directly with their care team. Nothing is buried in a patient portal.
Patients who want to combine the executive physical with same-day wellness add-ons can layer in IV nutrient therapy (Myers Cocktail, Immune Boost, NAD+), HBOT, or Red Light Therapy. These are billed separately at standard pricing; Red Light Therapy is complimentary with any in-clinic IV.
TrufaMED operates a Joint Commission-accredited urgent care and concierge clinic with on-site lab, X-ray, and EKG. Advanced imaging beyond chest X-ray — coronary calcium CT, full-body MRI, DEXA bone density, mammography, stress echocardiography, colonoscopy — is handled by referral to our trusted imaging and specialty partners, and results are integrated into your written report. We do not pretend to be Cleveland Clinic. We deliver a deep, MD-led assessment honestly, and tell you where to go for the studies that require a different facility.
The executive physical is designed for a specific category of patient — one who performs at a high level, has limited time, and places high value on accurate, actionable information about their health.
Every executive physical at TrufaMED is conducted by Dr. Shane D. Naidoo MD, our board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and Medical Director. Emergency medicine training produces physicians whose pattern recognition is calibrated to catch what others miss. Dr. Uri Gedalia MD, our Chief Medical Officer and a board-certified General Surgeon, leads TrufaMED's broader clinical operations. Learn more on the Our Staff page and About page.
TrufaMED is the only Joint Commission-accredited urgent care in Florida — one of just eight nationwide. The same accreditation standard applied to hospital emergency departments governs our clinical protocols, medication administration practices, and infection control. For executives who require that level of rigor in their medical care, this is the distinguishing credential.
The executive physical is conducted in a private room. Results are communicated directly from physician to patient, not through a patient portal notification. Appointments are scheduled to avoid waiting. The entire experience is designed around the expectations of a patient who values privacy, precision, and time.
TrufaMED operates a CLIA-certified in-house laboratory (CLIA #10D2326945). Most in-house lab results are available same-visit. Send-out advanced panels (ApoB, Lp(a), advanced hormones) return within standard reference-lab turnaround. X-ray and EKG are interpreted on-site by the physician. You leave the appointment with the in-clinic results — not with a promise to call you when the lab sends something back in three days. See our full testing services overview for the complete on-site diagnostic menu.
Many executive physical patients choose to continue their care within TrufaMED's concierge medicine program. Concierge members receive their executive physical as part of their tier benefits — included in full for FAMILY+ and SIGNATURE tier members, with Galleri multi-cancer detection also included. The VIP tier does not include the executive physical. Executives in Bal Harbour can learn more on our Concierge Medicine Bal Harbour page; Brickell-based executives can see the Concierge Medicine Brickell page.
Transparent pricing is a TrufaMED standard. There is no vague "call for pricing" here.
Executive Physical Pricing
The executive physical is a self-pay service only. It is not billable to insurance — insurance carriers bundle preventive evaluations under restrictive global case rates that do not reimburse the depth of this assessment. HSA and FSA accounts can be used; confirm with your plan administrator. Preparation affects the quality of results. Here is what to do before your TrufaMED executive physical:
The on-site appointment is 2 to 3 hours, which includes intake, vitals, EKG, blood draw, chest X-ray, the extended physician consultation with Dr. Naidoo, and same-visit review of in-house lab results. Most in-house results are available before you leave. Send-out advanced labs and the full written Executive Health Report are typically completed within 2 to 5 business days. If you add Galleri multi-cancer detection, those results return in 7 to 10 business days and are reviewed during a dedicated follow-up call.
No. The executive physical is a self-pay service only. Insurance carriers bundle preventive evaluations under restrictive global case rates that do not reimburse the depth of this assessment, which is why most premium executive physical programs nationally are also self-pay. HSA and FSA accounts can be used for executive physicals — confirm with your plan administrator.
A standard primary care annual visit runs 15 to 20 minutes and covers the minimum required by your insurer's wellness guidelines. An executive physical is a dedicated 2 to 3 hour evaluation with a board-certified physician, an advanced lab panel that includes ApoB, Lp(a), SHBG, full thyroid, full hormone, HOMA-IR insulin resistance scoring, hsCRP, and homocysteine — markers most annual physicals never order — an on-site EKG, digital chest X-ray, and a written Executive Health Report formatted for your PCP to act on. It is designed to find things a routine annual physical is not structured to find.
No. The executive physical is a diagnostic snapshot, not ongoing primary care. TrufaMED performs the comprehensive exam, advanced labs, EKG, and chest X-ray and delivers a complete written report — but long-term medication management, specialist coordination over time, and disease management remain with your PCP. The Executive Health Report is formatted to be shared directly with your PCP and any specialists you see.
Yes. Fast for 10 to 12 hours before your appointment. Water and black coffee without sugar are acceptable. Eating before the appointment compromises lipid panel, glucose, and fasting insulin accuracy, which are three of the most clinically significant results in the panel.
Galleri is a liquid biopsy blood test that screens for signals from more than 50 cancer types using circulating cell-free DNA methylation patterns. It is designed as a complement to standard cancer screening protocols, not a replacement. For executives with a family history of cancer, those over 50, or anyone who wants the most comprehensive available health picture, Galleri adds meaningful detection coverage. It adds $950 to the $1,095 standard physical for a total of $2,045. Galleri is included at no additional cost for FAMILY+ and SIGNATURE concierge members.
Yes. TrufaMED can accommodate corporate executive physical packages for leadership teams, boards of directors, or key employees, with volume pricing available. Employer-required pre-employment executive physicals with documentation packages are also available.
Yes. The full hormone panel includes total and free testosterone, estradiol, SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin, required for accurate bioavailable testosterone interpretation), DHEA-S, and AM cortisol — for both male and female patients. Low testosterone is increasingly documented in high-performing, high-stress adults of both sexes and is associated with fatigue, cognitive fog, body composition changes, and reduced libido. PSA Total is included for men 40 and over.
For most adults under 45 with no significant chronic disease, annually or every two years is appropriate. For adults over 45, or those with elevated cardiovascular risk, metabolic concerns, or a significant family history, annually is recommended. FAMILY+ and SIGNATURE concierge tier members at TrufaMED receive their executive physical as part of their membership and can schedule it on whatever cadence their physician recommends.
Yes — and this is a common pathway. The executive physical results serve as your clinical baseline for TrufaMED concierge medicine. Many patients choose the concierge program after the executive physical because they want ongoing physician access and proactive coordination of whatever the initial evaluation found. See Concierge Medicine Bal Harbour and Concierge Medicine Brickell pages for location-specific details.
