Late-Night Urgent Care

The quick answer

Open until 11 PM Saturday, 9 PM weekdays

Most walk-in clinics in the Miami Beach corridor close by 8 or 9 PM, and doctor’s offices are long gone by dinner. Hospital emergency departments stay open around the clock, but they bill at ER rates with multi-hour waits for problems that are not emergencies. TrufaMED keeps the latest non-hospital urgent care hours in the area, so you can be seen by a physician in the evening without an ER trip. We are about 15 minutes north of South Beach, two blocks from the Bal Harbour Shops.

Late, and done right

What late-night urgent care should actually look like

Staying open late is the easy part. The harder part is keeping the same physician coverage, the same diagnostics, and the same standards at 10 PM that you would get at 11 AM. That is what TrufaMED is built to do.

A physician leads every shift

A board-certified physician leads every shift the clinic is open, supported by experienced nurses. A late-evening visit gets the same clinical oversight as a midday appointment.

Full diagnostics on-site

Digital X-ray, a CLIA-certified lab, point-of-care ultrasound, and EKG are available the entire operating window. Most late visits reach a diagnosis the same evening, not the next morning.

Walk in or pre-register

No appointment is required. Pre-register at register.trufamed.com to capture your insurance and reason for visit, and you spend less time at the front desk when you arrive.

Accredited, not just open

TrufaMED is the only Joint Commission-accredited urgent care in Florida. Long hours alone do not make a clinic safe. Protocols, infection control, and medication safety do, at every hour we are open.

Eight languages on the team

Late visits often bring travelers and night-shift workers. Our clinical team covers eight languages across shifts, so language is never a barrier to a clear diagnosis.

Most insurance accepted

We accept Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and Medicare at any open hour, with transparent self-pay pricing for visitors and the uninsured. No surprise billing.

After-hours capability

What we can treat after the offices close

An evening illness or injury does not have to wait until morning, and it rarely needs an emergency room. These are the things we handle on the spot, with on-site imaging and labs ready the same visit.

Fevers and infections

Flu, strep, sinus and ear infections, UTIs, and other infections, with rapid on-site testing so treatment starts the same evening. We e-prescribe to any pharmacy in Miami-Dade County.

Sprains and possible fractures

A late fall or a turned ankle gets on-site digital X-ray, read by the physician during your visit, usually within about ten minutes. Splinting and follow-up guidance before you leave.

Cuts and lacerations

A cut that needs stitches is cleaned and closed under physician care, with our Chief Medical Officer being a board-certified surgeon, instead of a long late-night ER wait for a simple repair.

Dehydration and stomach illness

Stomach flu, food poisoning, and dehydration treated with anti-nausea medication and, when needed, IV hydration, available the full late window, including the Saturday hours up to 11 PM.

Pediatric evening visits

We see children ages three and older during all open hours: fever, ear infections, croup, asthma flares, and minor injuries, with a physician evaluating every child.

Travel and night-shift needs

Visitors and night-shift workers get evening care without a hotel doctor markup. Self-pay is simple and priced up front, and our team covers eight languages.

Late visit, not an ER visit

Skip the emergency room for a non-emergency

A hospital emergency department is the right place for a true emergency, and it is open around the clock. For the everyday illnesses and injuries that happen after hours, an accredited urgent care is usually faster, far less expensive, and just as effective.

Who comes in after dark

Built for the way Miami Beach actually runs

The corridor does not close at 5 PM, and neither does the need for care. These are the patients our late hours are designed for.

After-work patients

You finish the day and only then realize the cough, the fever, or the sprain is not improving. Evening hours mean you do not have to take a morning off to be seen.

Hotel guests and travelers

Visitors along Collins Avenue and across South, Mid, and North Beach who fall ill at night, and would rather see a physician than wait out an ER visit on vacation.

Night-shift and hospitality workers

The corridor runs on evening and overnight crews. Late hours let restaurant, hotel, and service staff get care that fits a schedule that is the opposite of nine to five.

Parents with a sick child

A child spikes a fever at 8 PM. We see kids ages three and older during all open hours, with a physician on every shift, so the evening does not have to mean the pediatric ER.

Transparent self-pay

The same clear pricing, late or not

No insurance, or visiting from out of state? A self-pay visit starts at $195 for a physician evaluation, with add-ons priced up front. The cost is the same at 10 PM as it is at noon, with no after-hours surcharge.

Who is on shift

A physician leads the clinic, every hour it is open

Late visits get the same clinical leadership as midday ones. Coverage rotates between two board-certified physicians whose training spans general surgery and emergency medicine.

Medical Director
Dr. Shane D. Naidoo, MD
Board-Certified Emergency Medicine

Dr. Naidoo leads the clinical team as Medical Director. Board-certified in emergency medicine with deep experience in adult and pediatric emergency, trauma, and critical care, exactly the judgment you want guiding an evening or late-night visit.

Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Uri Gedalia, MD, FACS
Board-Certified General Surgeon · Fellow, American College of Surgeons

Dr. Gedalia is TrufaMED’s Chief Medical Officer and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His surgical background means a cut that needs stitches or a minor procedure can be handled on-site rather than sent out late at night.

This physician-first standard is why TrufaMED carries Joint Commission accreditation, held by only eight urgent care centers in the United States and no other urgent care in Florida. It is the same standard major hospital systems meet.

Meet the full clinical team

Open-late urgent care, answered

What patients across Miami Beach, Surfside, and Bal Harbour ask before an evening visit.

What urgent care is open latest in Miami Beach?

TrufaMED Urgent Care in Surfside keeps the latest non-hospital urgent care hours in the Miami Beach corridor: open until 11 PM on Saturday, 9 PM Monday through Friday, and 8 PM on Sunday. We are about 15 minutes north of South Beach at 9445 Harding Avenue in Surfside, two blocks from the Bal Harbour Shops. A board-certified physician leads every shift the clinic is open.

How late can I walk in on a Saturday?

Saturday hours run 11 AM to 11 PM. The last walk-in intake is at 10:45 PM, which gives the clinical team time to complete your visit before closing. You are welcome to walk in any time during open hours, and you can pre-register online first to skip the intake line.

Is there a physician on shift late at night?

Yes. A board-certified physician leads every shift the clinic is open, so a 10 PM visit gets the same physician oversight as a midday appointment. Clinical leadership rotates between Dr. Uri Gedalia, MD, FACS, our Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Shane D. Naidoo, MD, our Medical Director, supported by experienced nurses.

Is urgent care a safe alternative to the ER at night?

For non-life-threatening problems such as fevers, infections, sprains, lacerations, minor injuries, and abdominal pain that is not severe, yes. TrufaMED has on-site digital X-ray, a CLIA-certified lab, point-of-care ultrasound, and EKG, plus the only Joint Commission accreditation of any urgent care in Florida. For chest pain, severe trauma, stroke symptoms, difficulty breathing, or uncontrolled bleeding, go to an emergency department or call 911.

How long is the wait at 9 or 10 PM?

Most patients are seen quickly in the late-evening window, since volume is lower then than during the after-work rush from about 4 to 7 PM. If the clinic is at capacity when you arrive, the front desk gives you an honest time estimate at intake rather than an open-ended wait. Pre-registering online shortens your front-desk time.

Do you treat children late at night?

Yes. TrufaMED sees pediatric patients ages three and older during all operating hours, with a physician evaluating every child. Common late-evening pediatric visits include fever, ear infections, croup, asthma flares, and minor injuries. For infants under three months with a fever, we may refer you to a pediatric ER for a higher level of care.

Can I get an IV after 8 PM?

Yes. Same-day IV hydration and the full IV menu are available at the clinic during all open hours, including the late Saturday window up to 11 PM. Mobile IV to your home, hotel, or condo across the Miami Beach corridor is also available. See our IV therapy page for the menu and pricing.

How much does a late-night visit cost without insurance?

A self-pay physician visit starts at $195, with common add-ons priced up front: digital X-ray from $120, EKG from $110, and a rapid strep or flu test from $60. Pricing is the same late in the evening as it is at midday, and the cost is shared before treatment begins, so there are no surprise bills. We accept all major cards, which is practical for travelers and visitors.

What insurance do you accept for an evening visit?

We accept most major commercial plans, including Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and Medicare, at any hour the clinic is open. Oscar Health is accepted for emergent or complex cases and is out of network for routine visits. Self-pay patients are always welcome with transparent, upfront pricing. Call (305) 537-6396 to confirm your specific plan.

Are you a 24/7 urgent care?

No. TrufaMED is not open 24 hours. Around-the-clock care in the Miami Beach area is provided by hospital emergency departments such as Mount Sinai Medical Center on Miami Beach. TrufaMED offers the latest non-hospital urgent care hours in the corridor, until 11 PM Saturday and 9 PM on weekdays. For 24/7 physician access, our concierge medicine members have telehealth and house-call dispatch day or night.
