Dr. Uri Gedalia leads TrufaMED as Chief Medical Officer, overseeing physician-led urgent care, concierge medicine, IV therapy, digital X-ray, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy in Surfside, Florida. He is a board-certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and he brings decades of surgical, critical-care, and clinical-leadership experience to a clinic most people walk into for something ordinary.

Decades of surgery, research, and clinical leadership
Dr. Gedalia earned his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Medical Center and completed his general surgical residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. His career has spanned the operating room, critical care, and the leadership of clinical teams.
Alongside his clinical work, he has contributed to peer-reviewed research in biomechanics, abdominal wall reconstruction, bariatric surgery outcomes, trauma management, and pediatric vascular access. His published work has appeared in journals including Spine, the European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, Injury, Seminars in Plastic Surgery, The American Surgeon, and Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases.
The TrufaMED concierge program began as a concierge medicine service in 2020, and Dr. Gedalia has cared for patients across South Florida ever since. Today he oversees every clinical service at the practice, from walk-in urgent care and concierge memberships to IV therapy, imaging, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
