The quick answer

What is the Pain Relief IV?

The Pain Relief IV is a non-narcotic infusion that treats pain through several pathways at once. It pairs IV ketorolac, the intravenous form of Toradol and a prescription-strength anti-inflammatory, with magnesium, calcium, and B vitamins. Delivered straight into the bloodstream, it works faster and more reliably than a pill and avoids the stomach irritation of repeated oral NSAIDs. At TrufaMED in Surfside, a board-certified physician evaluates you first, a licensed provider runs the 45 to 60 minute infusion, and you recover in a quiet private suite or have it brought to you across Miami.

What it treats

Pain this infusion is built for

Acute and chronic pain share one driver: inflammation. Damaged or irritated tissue releases compounds that sensitize nerves and amplify pain. The Pain Relief IV targets that inflammation directly while relaxing tense muscle.

Migraines and headaches

IV magnesium paired with an anti-inflammatory is one of the most evidence-supported approaches to an acute migraine or a severe tension headache. It bypasses the gut, which often shuts down mid-migraine, so a pill cannot keep up.

Muscle pain and spasm

Magnesium acts as a natural calcium channel blocker, relaxing smooth and skeletal muscle to ease tension, cramping, and spasm across the body, not just at one trigger point.

Joint pain and inflammation

IV ketorolac delivers prescription-strength anti-inflammatory relief faster and more completely than an oral NSAID, calming the inflammation behind aching, swollen joints.

Post-surgical soreness

A measured, non-opioid option for the discomfort that follows a procedure, given under physician supervision so it fits the rest of your recovery plan.

Menstrual cramps

The same anti-inflammatory and muscle-relaxing combination that helps tension headaches can ease severe menstrual cramping, without reaching for stronger medication.

Nerve-related pain

B12 and B-complex support myelin integrity, the protective coating around nerves, addressing the neurological side of chronic pain and neuropathy alongside the anti-inflammatory.

The Pain Relief IV is not a replacement for ongoing care of a chronic condition. It delivers rapid, meaningful relief for an acute episode, and for severe or persistent pain your physician may recommend further evaluation rather than another infusion.

The formula

What is in the bag, and why

Five active components, each chosen for a specific role. Every one is USP-grade and dosed under a physician order.

Ketorolac (IV Toradol)

A potent prescription-strength NSAID given intravenously, for fast anti-inflammatory and analgesic action without the delay or stomach irritation of oral medication. This is a non-narcotic.

Magnesium

A natural muscle relaxant that lowers neuromuscular excitability. Particularly effective for tension headaches, muscle spasm, and migraine, where it also modulates pain signaling.

Calcium

Essential for proper muscle contraction and nerve signal transmission. IV calcium supports neuromuscular function and helps restore the mineral balance that pain states disrupt.

Vitamin B12

Supports nerve health and myelin sheath integrity, addressing the neurological component of chronic pain, neuropathy, and nerve-related discomfort.

B-Complex

B vitamins play a role in pain-signal modulation and anti-inflammatory processes, complementing the direct analgesic action of ketorolac.

IV hydration

A balanced fluid base carries every component into circulation at once and rehydrates you, which on its own helps the headaches and fatigue that ride along with a pain flare.

All compounds are USP-grade and administered following a medical evaluation and under physician oversight.

Why an IV

Why intravenous, and not another pill?

Oral pain medication has to survive the stomach and the gut before any of it reaches your bloodstream, which takes time and absorbs unevenly. Repeated oral NSAIDs also irritate the stomach lining. An IV puts the anti-inflammatory and the minerals straight into circulation, so relief begins during the infusion rather than an hour later, and it sidesteps the GI side effects of swallowing pills all day.

A multi-pathway approach

No single agent covers every kind of pain. Ketorolac tackles the inflammation. Magnesium relaxes the muscle and quiets pain signaling. Calcium restores the mineral balance that pain states throw off. B vitamins support the nerves underneath it all. Delivered together, the formula reaches more of the problem at once than any one of them could alone.

What this IV is not

Responsible medicine means being clear about limits. The Pain Relief IV is not an opioid and not a substitute for treating the cause of a chronic condition. It is a fast, non-narcotic option for an acute episode, given inside a physician-supervised plan. For pain after an injury that may need imaging, our urgent care has on-site digital X-ray. To relieve soreness after hard training, see the Post Workout Recovery IV.

Your session

What to expect, start to finish

Medical evaluation

A board-certified physician reviews your pain history and confirms the Pain Relief IV is the right intervention for your situation, and that ketorolac is safe for you, before any line is started.

Private treatment suite

You settle into our quiet, dimmed IV suite, an environment built for recovery rather than a busy waiting room. In-clinic sessions include complimentary red light therapy alongside the drip.

The infusion, 45 to 60 minutes

A licensed provider places the line and runs the formula over 45 to 60 minutes, monitoring you throughout. Most patients feel noticeable relief well before the session ends.

Post-infusion check

Our team checks your comfort, removes the line, and gives guidance on follow-up and complementary strategies for ongoing pain management.

Candidacy

Who it helps, and who should wait

Ketorolac is a real prescription medication, not a wellness add-on, so the physician evaluation matters. We help you decide whether it fits your clinical picture before your first infusion.

Good candidates

  • Acute migraine or a stubborn tension headache that oral medication has not touched
  • Muscle tension, spasm, or generalized body aches
  • Joint inflammation or post-surgical soreness needing a non-opioid option
  • Severe menstrual cramps
  • Anyone who wants relief without reaching for narcotics

Reasons to wait or reconsider

  • Active stomach ulcer or any history of GI bleeding
  • Significant kidney impairment
  • A bleeding disorder or an allergy to NSAIDs
  • Third-trimester pregnancy
  • Severe or persistent pain that points to a cause needing fuller evaluation

We administer the Pain Relief IV to adults 18 and older after a physician evaluation. The intake exists to catch the contraindications above before treatment begins.

Your physicians

A physician evaluates every infusion

Because the Pain Relief IV uses a prescription anti-inflammatory, physician oversight is not optional. Every order is reviewed by a board-certified physician on shift, and a licensed provider administers and monitors the drip.

Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Uri Gedalia, MD, FACS
Board-Certified General Surgeon

Dr. Gedalia built TrufaMED around physician-led protocols, Joint Commission accreditation, and a standard of care usually reserved for hospital systems. He oversees the IV therapy program and approves the formulary, including the Pain Relief protocol.

Medical Director
Dr. Shane D. Naidoo, MD
Board-Certified Emergency Medicine

Dr. Naidoo directs clinical operations and reviews pain and infusion cases. His emergency background means decisions about ketorolac, dosing, and who should not receive it are made by a physician who manages acute pain every day.

A board-certified physician leads every shift, seven days a week. This physician-first approach is why TrufaMED carries Joint Commission accreditation, a distinction held by only eight urgent care centers nationwide. Our lab operates under CLIA #10D2326945.

Meet the clinical team

Pain Relief IV therapy, answered

What patients across Miami ask most before booking a Pain Relief IV.

What types of pain does the Pain Relief IV treat?

It is used for headaches, migraines, muscle pain and tension, menstrual cramps, joint discomfort, post-surgical soreness, and general body aches. The formula addresses both the pain itself and the underlying inflammation contributing to it. For severe or persistent pain, your physician may recommend additional evaluation rather than another infusion.

How fast does the Pain Relief IV work?

Most patients notice meaningful pain reduction within 20 to 30 minutes of starting the infusion. The anti-inflammatory action of IV ketorolac and the muscle-relaxing effect of magnesium typically build before the session ends, with continued improvement over the following hours.

Does this IV contain narcotics or opioids?

No. The Pain Relief IV uses a non-narcotic anti-inflammatory (ketorolac, the IV form of Toradol), magnesium, calcium, and B vitamins. It is designed to provide effective relief without the sedation, side effects, or dependency risk of opioid medications.

Can I get this IV for a migraine?

Yes. The combination of IV magnesium, an anti-inflammatory, and hydration is a well-established approach to acute migraine. Many migraine sufferers find IV delivery more effective than a pill because it bypasses the digestive system, which is often impaired during an attack, and reaches the bloodstream directly.

How often can I receive the Pain Relief IV?

It depends on your pain condition and goals. Some patients use it as needed for acute episodes; others schedule it as one part of a broader pain-management plan. Because ketorolac is a prescription anti-inflammatory with real limits, your physician sets a safe interval for you rather than leaving frequency open-ended.

Is the Pain Relief IV safe, and who should not get it?

Every Pain Relief IV is reviewed and ordered by a board-certified physician and placed by a licensed provider in our Joint Commission-accredited clinic, with monitoring throughout. Ketorolac is not appropriate for everyone. We screen out patients with active stomach ulcers or GI bleeding, significant kidney impairment, certain bleeding disorders, an NSAID allergy, and pregnancy in the third trimester. The intake exists to catch these before any line is started.

Do I need a referral to book pain relief IV therapy?

No referral is needed. You can book in-clinic or mobile online, call (305) 537-6396, or walk in. Every patient receives a physician evaluation before treatment to confirm the Pain Relief IV is appropriate for their situation.

Can the Pain Relief IV come to me?

Yes. We deliver the Pain Relief IV to your home, hotel, or office across greater Miami by a licensed provider, with a physician approving the order before dispatch. The mobile fee adds $50 to $150 based on priority. In-clinic visits cost less and include complimentary red light therapy.

Does insurance cover IV pain relief therapy?

The IV infusion itself is self-pay; we do not bill insurance for it. We accept all major cards, HSA and FSA, and Apple Pay, and provide receipts on request. If a separate medical evaluation is clinically required, that visit may be billable through our urgent care. Ask at check-in, or call (305) 537-6396 with billing questions.
