FLORIDA'S ONLY JOINT COMMISSION-ACCREDITED URGENT CARE · ONE OF JUST 8 NATIONWIDE
Skip the waiting room. Connect by secure video with a board-certified TrufaMED physician for prescription refills, results review, and minor acute concerns. Same clinician oversight as our in-person care — delivered to your phone, laptop, or tablet. Self-pay, transparent flat fee, HSA/FSA eligible.
TrufaMED telehealth connects you with a board-certified physician via video for Rx refills, lab results review, minor acute concerns, and chronic condition check-ins. $125 flat fee. HIPAA-secure. Self-pay. HSA/FSA eligible. Available statewide in Florida. Book online or call (305) 537-6396.
Telehealth is ideal for follow-up, medication management, and concerns that don’t require a physical exam, imaging, or procedure. Our physicians will tell you honestly if an in-person visit is the better call.
Routine, non-controlled medications. Blood pressure, cholesterol, allergy, thyroid, asthma inhalers, birth control, and chronic-condition maintenance.
Review lab work, imaging findings, or genetic-screening results with a physician. Ask questions, plan next steps, request referrals.
Sinus symptoms, mild upper-respiratory infection, pink eye, minor rash, urinary symptoms (non-complicated), seasonal allergies, cold sores.
Second-opinion review, referral letters, pre-procedure clearance, and coordinating in-person labs or imaging before your next step.
Four simple steps from booking to prescription or follow-up plan. Most visits finish in ten to thirty minutes.
Choose a time through Jane. Same-day slots usually available during clinic hours.
Brief history, reason for visit, medication list, pharmacy of record. Takes two to three minutes on mobile.
Secure HIPAA-compliant video with a board-certified physician. Ten to thirty minutes typical.
Rx sent to your pharmacy when appropriate, plus a written visit summary and any referral or in-person follow-up.
We will not stretch a video visit past what good medicine allows. If any of the following fits your situation, please skip telehealth and get seen in person or call 911.
Do not book telehealth for suspected heart attack, stroke symptoms (face droop, arm weakness, speech difficulty), severe trauma, difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness, severe chest pain, or suspected overdose. These are emergencies — call 911.
Telehealth cannot perform a physical exam, give injections, draw blood, take X-rays or ultrasound, treat wounds or remove sutures, evaluate severe abdominal pain, work up a fever above 102°F, or manage moderate-to-severe pain. Walk in or book urgent care instead.
If you start telehealth and the physician decides an in-person visit is required, they will tell you directly and help coordinate same-day walk-in at our Surfside clinic.
Telehealth at TrufaMED is a self-pay service. It is not billed to commercial insurance. Pricing is flat, disclosed before you book, and HSA/FSA eligible with a physician letter when medically indicated.
Up to 30 minutes with a board-certified physician. Includes visit summary, e-prescription when appropriate, and a brief written plan. Payment captured at booking via Jane. Self-pay only — not billed to commercial insurance. HSA/FSA eligible.
Most HSA/FSA plans cover telehealth as a qualified medical expense. We’ll provide an itemized receipt and, when medically indicated, a physician letter of medical necessity. Full coverage details on our insurance page.
Most virtual care platforms route patients to non-physician providers or algorithmic triage tools. TrufaMED telehealth is different: every visit is conducted by a board-certified MD, the same physicians you would see in our Joint Commission-accredited Surfside clinic.
When you book a telehealth visit with TrufaMED, you are speaking with either Dr. Uri Gedalia, a board-certified general surgeon and TrufaMED’s Chief Medical Officer, or Dr. Shane D. Naidoo, a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and Medical Director. Both physicians hold active Florida licensure and apply the same clinical standards they use in the exam room. There is no script, no protocol tree, and no “one of our providers” ambiguity. You get the same physician oversight, delivered digitally. Learn more about our clinical team on the Our Staff page.
This distinction is meaningful when the visit involves interpreting complex lab results, adjusting a medication that carries interaction risk, reviewing imaging ordered elsewhere, or deciding whether a symptom can be safely managed at home versus in the emergency department. These are judgment calls that benefit from a physician’s depth of training, not a protocol flowchart.
TrufaMED telehealth integrates seamlessly with the full scope of our in-person services. If the physician determines during your video visit that you need an X-ray, an EKG, a blood draw, or wound care, you can walk into our Surfside clinic the same day. If your concern is appropriate for ongoing management rather than acute care, the visit can lead to a preventive care plan, a concierge medicine enrollment, or a specialist referral.
Telehealth is also how TrufaMED serves patients who live outside Surfside but within Florida. Residents of Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Sunny Isles Beach, Aventura, and Brickell can see a TrufaMED physician without commuting to the clinic for straightforward concerns. Tourists, seasonal residents, and hotel guests throughout South Florida benefit from the same access during their stay. Patients searching “online doctor visit Miami Beach,” “virtual urgent care Miami,” “telemedicine Surfside,” or “online doctor Bal Harbour” will find the same physician-led, fixed-price telehealth care.
The platform runs on JaneApp, a HIPAA-compliant EMR with end-to-end encrypted video. No app download is required. A secure link arrives by email before your appointment and opens in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox. After the visit, your chart note is stored in the same system used for in-person urgent care visits, so there is genuine continuity of care between your virtual and physical encounters at TrufaMED.
For questions before booking, reach us by phone at (305) 537-6396, via WhatsApp at +1 (305) 842-9801, or walk in to our Surfside clinic at 9445 Harding Ave. Our front desk confirms same-day availability and can clarify whether your concern is appropriate for telehealth before you pay.
Every visit staffed by Dr. Gedalia or Dr. Naidoo — not mid-levels, not contracted call-center physicians.
Slots open daily during clinic hours. Book online and connect within hours, not days.
Florida’s only Joint Commission-accredited urgent care. The same clinical standards apply to every telehealth encounter.
One price, disclosed before booking. Self-pay, HSA/FSA eligible, no hidden facility fees.
Every telehealth visit is conducted by a board-certified TrufaMED physician. Not a chatbot, not a call-center contractor. The same clinicians who see patients in our Surfside clinic.
Board-certified general surgeon and TrufaMED Chief Medical Officer. Sees telehealth patients for results review, post-op follow-up, medication management, and second-opinion consults.
Board-certified in Emergency Medicine. Leads telehealth for acute concerns — minor URI, pink eye, UTI work-ups, and prescription refills — with a clear threshold for when in-person care is required.
Telehealth runs on the same schedule as our Surfside clinic. Same-day slots are typical during business hours. After-hours needs are routed to our concierge physician program.
No. Florida and federal rules restrict the prescribing of controlled substances (Schedule II–V, including opioids, stimulants for ADHD, benzodiazepines) via telehealth without an in-person evaluation. If you need a controlled-substance medication we will ask you to come into the clinic.
TrufaMED telehealth is a self-pay service. We do not bill commercial insurance for virtual visits. Your visit may be reimbursable through your HSA/FSA — see our insurance page for details.
Our physicians hold active Florida licensure and can see any patient physically located in Florida at the time of the visit. If you live out of state but will be in Florida, telehealth is available while you are here. For patients located in other states at the time of visit, we will tell you honestly whether our physicians hold the required licensure.
The physician will order labs or imaging at the end of your visit. You can complete the draw in our Surfside clinic or at a partner lab, and we’ll review results with you in a follow-up telehealth call.
Yes. Pre-test eligibility and post-result review for our genetic-screening programs are ideal telehealth use cases. The sample collection itself is done in the clinic.
Most visits finish in 10 to 20 minutes. Complex results review or new-patient consults may run 25 to 30 minutes. Your slot reserves up to 30 minutes so there is no rush.
No. Jane generates a secure video link sent to your email. It opens directly in a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox). A phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera and microphone is all you need.
Jane is a HIPAA-compliant platform and all traffic is end-to-end encrypted. Sessions are not recorded. Charting, messaging, and payment are handled inside the same secured portal.
Absolutely. Continuity of care is the point — the same physician who saw you by video can see you walk-in at the Surfside clinic, and your chart travels with you.
If the physician determines your issue requires in-person evaluation, imaging, or emergency care, they will tell you in the visit, help you book a same-day walk-in at our Surfside clinic, or direct you to the appropriate emergency resource. No surprises.
Yes. TrufaMED telehealth is available to any patient physically located in Florida at the time of the visit. Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Sunny Isles Beach, Aventura, and Brickell residents use telehealth regularly for prescription refills and minor acute concerns. If your issue requires in-person care, our Surfside clinic is 10–20 minutes from most of these neighborhoods.
Telehealth is best for concerns that do not require a physical exam, lab draw, imaging, or procedure — such as prescription refills, minor acute symptoms, and results review. A walk-in urgent care visit at our Surfside clinic is appropriate when you need an X-ray, blood work, a throat swab, wound care, or IV fluids. Both are staffed by board-certified MDs. If you start telehealth and the physician determines in-person care is needed, they will help coordinate same-day walk-in at no additional telehealth charge for the referral decision.
If telehealth isn’t the right fit, here are the in-person services our patients most often ask about.
Walk-in, physician-led, X-ray and labs on site. Joint Commission accredited. Open 7 days.
Urgent Care →Direct physician access, annual physical, after-hours coverage, coordination across specialists.
Concierge →Physician-reviewed IV therapy delivered to home, hotel, or office across Greater Miami.
Mobile IV →Eighteen physician-formulated drips in the Surfside clinic with complimentary red light therapy.
IV Therapy →TrufaMED physicians are Florida-licensed and see patients located anywhere in the state. Below are the communities our telehealth patients most frequently come from, and what each group tends to use the service for.
South Beach, Mid-Beach, and North Beach residents book telehealth for prescription refills, post-procedure check-ins, and minor illness management when commuting to Surfside is inconvenient. The same TrufaMED physician who manages your in-clinic care is available by video. Search: “online doctor visit Miami Beach.”
Residents of Bal Harbour Village and Bay Harbor Islands are minutes from our Surfside clinic by car, but telehealth is the preferred option for routine refills, results review, and follow-up visits that do not require an in-person exam. Search: “online doctor Bal Harbour.”
High-rise residents and professionals in Sunny Isles Beach and Aventura use TrufaMED telehealth for medication management, lab results review, and minor acute concerns. Our physicians can coordinate in-clinic follow-up at Surfside when needed. Search: “telemedicine Sunny Isles,” “virtual doctor Aventura.”
Surfside-area patients who want physician access outside of a walk-in visit — for follow-up care, ongoing prescription management, or a second opinion — can access TrufaMED telehealth from home. Continuity with the clinic is seamless. Search: “telemedicine Surfside.”
Urban Miami patients use TrufaMED virtual care for time-sensitive, non-emergent concerns during the workday. Telehealth eliminates the commute while preserving access to a board-certified MD rather than a chatbot triage tool. Search: “virtual urgent care Miami.”
Tourists, snowbirds, and business travelers physically located in Florida at the time of the visit can use TrufaMED telehealth. A sinus infection, skin concern, or medication refill does not have to interrupt your trip. We routinely see hotel guests from Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Sunny Isles, and Aventura properties.
All telehealth patients must be physically located in Florida at the time of the video visit. Our physicians hold active Florida licensure. For patients located outside Florida at time of visit, please contact us to confirm whether licensure coverage applies.
Same-day slots are typical during clinic hours. Book online or call our Surfside front desk.
Telehealth services are provided by TrufaMED physicians licensed in the State of Florida. Controlled substances (Schedule II–V) are not prescribed via telehealth without an in-person evaluation per Florida and federal law. For life-threatening emergencies — suspected heart attack, stroke, severe trauma, or difficulty breathing — call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department. Telehealth is self-pay and is not billed to commercial insurance; HSA/FSA eligible with a physician letter when medically indicated.
Need an in-person physician at your location instead? TrufaMED offers on-demand house call doctor visits to your home, hotel, or condo across greater Miami.
