Plan for one visit of about 45 to 60 minutes for the exam, history review, and lab draw. If you choose the TB skin test instead of the IGRA blood test, you return in 48 to 72 hours to have it read. Using the IGRA blood test avoids that second trip, and if you still need vaccinations those can usually be given the same day.

USCIS immigration physicals are self-pay, because the exam is not covered by health insurance. Our pricing is flat and disclosed upfront, and it covers the physical, the required lab work, and completion of Form I-693. Yes. Form I-693 must be completed and signed by a USCIS-designated civil surgeon, and our physician is an authorized civil surgeon. That means your exam, your vaccination review, and your sealed form are handled in-house by the right person the first time, so your application is not delayed by a form completed by an unauthorized examiner.

A medical history review, a full physical examination of all major body systems, a vision check, a mental health screening required by USCIS, required blood work (syphilis and gonorrhea screening per current CDC requirements), tuberculosis screening by IGRA blood test or skin test, a chest X-ray when indicated, and a review of your vaccination history against the CDC list, with any missing vaccines administered on-site.

Form I-693 is valid for two years from the date your civil surgeon signs it. USCIS recommends completing the exam no more than 60 days before you file your application, so timing matters. If too much time passes between the exam and your filing, you may need to be re-examined. Our team can help you plan the timing around your application.

A positive TB screen does not mean you cannot be cleared. It requires a chest X-ray, which we perform on-site, so you do not need a separate appointment elsewhere. If the X-ray is normal, you are cleared with latent TB documentation noted on your form. If you have a prior positive result, bring that documentation and any earlier chest X-ray reports to your visit.

Yes. We stock all commonly required immigration vaccines and can administer them during your visit, which saves you an extra appointment. USCIS requires proof of immunization against a CDC-set list that includes measles, mumps, rubella, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis A and B, varicella, pneumococcal disease, meningococcal disease, rotavirus, seasonal influenza, and COVID-19, as applicable for your age.

Yes, bring any records you have, whether from your home country or from the United States, in English or translated. Records let your civil surgeon credit vaccines you have already received. Without them, you may need blood testing to confirm immunity or you may need to be re-vaccinated, which can add cost and time to your visit.
