Exam and clearance
Your first visit includes a physical exam and an on-site chest X-ray. Your physician reviews your history and confirms HBOT is safe and appropriate for you. No referral needed.
Settle into the chamber
You change into loose cotton clothing and leave electronics and jewelry outside. You lie comfortably in the soft-shell chamber, free to rest, read, or sleep.
Pressure and pure oxygen
The chamber pressurizes to 1.6 ATA while you breathe 100% pure oxygen. You may feel a mild ear fullness that clears like it does on a plane.
Recover and head home
A session runs 60 to 90 minutes with zero downtime. Most patients feel relaxed and drive straight back to Sunny Isles, following the session count your physician set.

The physicians overseeing your session
Your HBOT is directed by two board-certified physicians whose combined experience spans general surgery, emergency medicine, trauma, and wound care.
Dr. Gedalia earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed his surgical residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York. He serves as Regional Chief Medical Officer for a surgical and wound-care program, experience that shapes how TrufaMED designs HBOT protocols for surgical and wound recovery.
Dr. Naidoo brings extensive adult and pediatric emergency, trauma, and critical-care experience from high-volume emergency departments across the East Coast. His training means HBOT patients are screened and supervised by a physician who has handled the most acute clinical situations.

The soft inflatable chambers sold for home use or found at some spas operate at much lower pressures with ambient air, which is a fundamentally different treatment.
How many HBOT sessions will I need?
It depends on your goal and condition. Some patients notice benefits after a few visits. Chronic conditions and recovery protocols are usually built around a course of sessions that your physician sets after your exam. Our 10-session Wellness Package is designed for exactly this kind of structured course.
Is HBOT safe, and do I need a referral?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is well tolerated by most patients in a clinical setting, with serious side effects being rare. No referral is needed. Your first visit includes a comprehensive physical exam with an on-site chest X-ray so your physician can confirm HBOT is right for you. Every session is physician-supervised at a Joint Commission-accredited facility. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can book online.
