TrufaMED is the only Joint Commission-accredited urgent care in Florida, and one of just eight nationwide. The gold seal is the same independent standard major hospital systems are held to, a rigorous review of patient safety, clinical quality, infection control, and medication safety. It is the clearest signal that the care you receive here meets a hospital-grade bar.
TrufaMED meets the Joint Commission’s clinical and safety standards, the same standard used by major hospital systems. You get emergency-room-level diagnostics and physician expertise without the cost, the wait, or the chaos.

Florida’s only Joint Commission-accredited urgent care, one of just eight nationwide. The same clinical standard major hospital systems meet.
A board-certified physician leads every shift. Dr. Shane Naidoo (Emergency Medicine) and Dr. Uri Gedalia (General Surgery, FACS) lead the clinical team.
Private exam rooms and a refined waiting lounge. The treatment rooms feel more like a private clinic than a typical urgent care.
Our team speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew, French, Russian, Italian, and more, serving Miami’s international community.
We accept Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and most major plans, with transparent self-pay pricing for uninsured patients.
The average visit runs 20 to 45 minutes from arrival to departure, a fraction of the time you would spend at the ER for the same care.
From a sudden fever to a suspected sprain, with a physician, on-site diagnostics, and same-day results.
No insurance? A self-pay visit starts at $195 for a physician evaluation, with add-ons priced up front, so you always know what to expect before you are seen.
Starting prices; final cost depends on the services you need. See the full sheet on our self-pay pricing page.
Transparency builds trust. There are times when an emergency room or specialist is the right level of care, and we will always tell you directly.
For chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, difficulty breathing, or uncontrolled bleeding, call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.
We do not perform inpatient surgery, cardiac procedures, or complex operations. We can evaluate you and refer you to the right surgical specialist.
We provide OB and GYN ultrasound imaging but do not deliver babies. Please contact your OB or a hospital labor and delivery unit.
For a psychiatric crisis or suicidal thoughts, please call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or go to an emergency department.
Our clinical leadership brings hospital-grade training in surgery and emergency medicine to a boutique walk-in setting.
Dr. Naidoo leads the clinical team as Medical Director. Board-certified in emergency medicine with deep expertise in adult and pediatric emergency care, trauma, and critical care. He completed his residency and emergency medicine board certification at Brookdale Hospital in New York.
Dr. Gedalia is TrufaMED’s Chief Medical Officer and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Board-certified in general surgery with extensive experience in procedural medicine, wound care, and advanced diagnostics. He oversees clinical protocols across all TrufaMED services.
The questions patients across Surfside, Miami Beach, and Bal Harbour ask most before walking in.
Walk-ins are welcome seven days a week during clinic hours (Monday to Friday 9 AM to 9 PM, Saturday 11 AM to 11 PM, Sunday 12 PM to 8 PM). You can also check in online ahead of time to capture your insurance and reason for visit, so you spend less time at the front desk. Most pre-registered patients are seen within five to ten minutes of arrival.
The average door-to-doctor wait is under four minutes, compared with 45 to 90 minutes at chain walk-in clinics and three to six hours at hospital emergency rooms. We limit daily volume to protect quality, so long waits are rare. You can pre-register online to cut your front-desk time even further.
A self-pay urgent care visit starts at $195 for a physician evaluation. Add-on services start from: digital X-ray $120, EKG $110, and a rapid strep or flu test $60. Final cost depends on the services you need, and pricing is shared up front, with no surprise billing. See our self-pay pricing page for the full sheet.
We accept most major commercial plans, including Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Oscar Health (urgent care), Medicare, and Medicare Advantage, along with many Medicaid plans. We do not accept Tricare. Self-pay patients are always welcome with transparent, upfront pricing. Call (305) 537-6396 to verify your specific plan before your visit.
Visit TrufaMED for non-life-threatening conditions like infections, minor injuries, fevers, UTIs, sprains, and dehydration. Go to the ER or call 911 for emergencies such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, or uncontrolled bleeding. As a rule of thumb, if you can safely walk or be driven in, urgent care is usually the right choice, and it typically costs far less than an ER visit for the same condition.
A board-certified physician leads every shift and is involved in your care, supported by experienced nurses. Our Medical Director is Dr. Shane D. Naidoo (Emergency Medicine) and our Chief Medical Officer is Dr. Uri Gedalia (General Surgery, FACS). This is the physician-led standard you would expect from a Joint Commission-accredited facility.
Yes. We have a digital X-ray suite for fractures, dislocations, and pneumonia, with on-site physician interpretation in about ten minutes. Our CLIA-certified lab runs rapid strep, flu, RSV, COVID, mono, urinalysis, pregnancy, basic chemistry panels, and CBC on-site, with rapid results in about 15 to 30 minutes. We also offer point-of-care ultrasound and a 12-lead EKG. This is why most visits finish in under an hour.
We treat the full range of non-emergency conditions: colds and flu, strep, sinus and ear infections, UTIs, allergies, asthma flare-ups, pink eye, rashes, sprains and fractures, lacerations that need stitches, burns, and dehydration. We also handle sports and school physicals, and our physicians can start treatment during your visit.
Yes. We provide pediatric urgent care for children six months and older: ear infections, strep throat, fever, cough, flu, minor injuries, rashes, pink eye, and UTIs. Our clinic has pediatric-sized equipment and physicians experienced with children. For infants under six months, we recommend their pediatrician or the pediatric ER.
Yes. Joint Commission accreditation is the hospital-grade standard for safety, infection control, clinical competence, and patient rights. Fewer than eight urgent care clinics in the entire United States hold it, and TrufaMED is the only accredited urgent care in Florida. It is the same accreditation your local hospital holds.
Yes. We offer physician-led telehealth visits seven days a week for concerns that do not need an in-person exam, such as cold and flu symptoms, rash assessments, minor UTIs, and follow-ups. Telehealth is a flat $125 self-pay visit. Book at trufamed.com/telehealth/ or call (305) 537-6396.
