Physician-led walk-in care for children and adults, about five minutes from Kane Concourse. On-site X-ray, labs, and IV therapy in a single visit, with no appointment needed.
Closest accredited urgent care to East and West Island. Open 7 days, including Saturday until 11 PM.
Joint Commission AccreditedTrufaMED at 9445 Harding Avenue in Surfside is about a five-minute drive from anywhere on East Island or West Island, straight west on Kane Concourse and south on Harding Avenue. Walk in seven days a week, no appointment needed. A board-certified physician leads every shift, children three months and up are treated daily, and most visits finish diagnosis and treatment in one stop with on-site X-ray, labs, ultrasound, and IV therapy.
Bay Harbor Islands is a small, family-driven community: two landscaped islands connected to Miami Beach by the 96th Street Bridge and to Bal Harbour by the Broad Causeway. The medical needs here lean toward pediatric visits, older-adult care, and the seasonal illness cycle of a close-knit neighborhood. Our clinic is built for exactly that mix.
From East Island or West Island, the drive to Harding Avenue is a single straight-line corridor: Kane Concourse west, then south through Bal Harbour into Surfside. No freeway, no toll, no confusing route. Measured door to door, we are closer than any accredited urgent care in the Miami Beach or Aventura corridor, and the people you reach are board-certified physicians, not a call center. For ongoing care between visits, see our Bay Harbor Islands concierge membership.
Bay Harbor Islands is a community of grandparents, parents, and children living side by side. We are built to treat all three, with a physician-level exam every time, so a household can rely on one place for the whole family.
Children three months and up, seen routinely: ear infections, strep, stomach flu, RSV, asthma, rashes, minor injuries, and sports physicals. A board-certified physician examines every child, with weight-based dosing.
A slower-paced intake, medication reconciliation by a pharmacist-trained nurse, hearing-friendly communication, and large-print discharge instructions on request. We sit with older patients rather than rush them.
Sports physicals and school-entry forms completed the same visit, including for Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 students. Flu shots and routine vaccines available when age-appropriate.
On-site digital X-ray resolves the question in about fifteen minutes. Splinting and casting handled in clinic, with orthopedic referral when follow-up is needed, no separate trip to an imaging center.
Children and older adults are both vulnerable in Miami’s summer. Physician-supervised IV fluids, active cooling when needed, and clear, safe discharge criteria.
Open Saturday until 11 PM for after-sundown visits when daytime care is inconvenient, plus Sunday noon to 8 PM. Care delivered with awareness of the community we serve.
Every capability below is physically on-site at 9445 Harding Avenue, about five minutes from East Island, West Island, and Kane Concourse. No split visits, no referrals across town, no waiting three days for an outside lab.

If the picture on arrival points to an emergency, we stabilize and transfer to Mount Sinai Miami Beach or Aventura Hospital. This is infrequent. The great majority of visits are resolved in the clinic.
A physician examines, diagnoses, and treats the great majority of these in one walk-in appointment for children, adults, and older patients, including the labs, imaging, or IV therapy the treatment calls for.
Every TrufaMED visit is led by a board-certified physician, pediatric visits included. That is not the industry norm. Many walk-in chains run with a non-physician provider leading every visit. Ours do not.
Joint Commission accreditation is earned by passing the same audit standards that accredit hospitals: sterile technique, medication safety, infection control, and documentation. Florida has one accredited urgent care, and we are it, one of only eight in the country. For parents who care about where their child is treated, that is the shortest explanation of the difference. Our physicians treat children as the primary patient of the visit, with pediatric weight-based dosing and topical anesthetic before sutures, while same-visit X-ray, labs, and IV therapy remain available.
A boutique medical clinic with the diagnostic capabilities of a small hospital, five minutes off the 96th Street Bridge.
Kane Concourse west to Harding Avenue south puts you at our front door in about five minutes. No freeway, no toll, straight through Bal Harbour into Surfside.
The same audit body that accredits hospitals reviews our sterile technique, medication safety, and infection control. Florida has one accredited urgent care.
A board-certified MD on shift every hour, for adult, pediatric, and older-adult visits. Not a medical assistant, not remote coverage. A physician examines you.
Pediatric weight dosing, topical anesthetic before sutures, parent-inclusive exams, and age-appropriate communication. A daily pediatric practice, not an add-on.
Digital X-ray, ultrasound, a CLIA-certified lab, and in-clinic IV therapy. Most visits finish diagnosis, treatment, and the prescription in one appointment.
English, Spanish, Hebrew, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, French, and Creole, so the exam and discharge happen in your language, not through a phone line.
No insurance? A self-pay visit starts at $195 for a physician evaluation, with add-ons priced up front, so you always know what to expect before you are seen.
Starting prices; final cost depends on the services your visit needs. Most major plans cover standard visits, on-site imaging, lab draws, and medically indicated IV therapy. See our self-pay pricing and insurance pages for details.
Most problems are urgent-care level. Some are not. The findings below are reasons to bypass us and go directly to Mount Sinai Miami Beach, Aventura Hospital, or call 911.
Chest pain or pressure, especially with shortness of breath, arm pain, or sweating. Sudden facial droop, one-sided weakness, or speech difficulty. Call 911.
Severe shortness of breath at rest, or heavy bleeding that does not stop with firm pressure. Go to the nearest emergency room.
Head injury with loss of consciousness, vomiting, or confusion, or severe abdominal pain with rigidity or rebound. These need the ER.
An infant under three months with a high fever, lethargy, or severe illness should be evaluated at a pediatric emergency department, not urgent care.
If you are unsure, walk in. We triage on arrival, and if the findings warrant the ER we stabilize and arrange transfer, frequently to Mount Sinai Miami Beach five minutes south or Aventura Hospital fifteen minutes north.
Our clinical leadership brings hospital-grade training in surgery and emergency medicine to a boutique walk-in setting, with the highest-acuity cases that arrive from Bay Harbor, Bal Harbour, and Miami Beach.
Dr. Gedalia is a board-certified general surgeon and TrufaMED’s Chief Medical Officer. He designed the clinical protocols, continues to practice on-site, and brings a surgical background that lets the clinic evaluate and treat on the spot what would require an outside referral elsewhere.
Dr. Naidoo is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who runs the clinical floor day to day, supervises the medical staff, and handles the highest-acuity cases that walk in. His training brings calm, decisive judgment to adult and pediatric care alike.

The questions our team answers most when Bay Harbor Islands parents, residents, and caregivers call ahead or walk in.
TrufaMED at 9445 Harding Avenue in Surfside is the closest physician-led urgent care to Bay Harbor Islands. The drive is about five minutes: west on Kane Concourse, then south on Harding Avenue through Bal Harbour. From East Island or West Island it is a single straight-line corridor with no freeway and no toll. A board-certified physician leads every shift, and most cases are resolved in one walk-in visit, including X-ray, labs, and IV therapy when indicated.
Yes. Pediatric care is a daily part of the practice, not an add-on. We see children three months and older for ear infections, strep throat, stomach flu, RSV, asthma flare-ups, rashes, minor injuries, fevers, and school or sports physicals. A board-certified physician examines every child, with pediatric weight-based dosing and topical anesthetic before any sutures. Many parents tell us it feels closer to a pediatrician’s office than a walk-in clinic.
Yes. We are open Saturday until 11 PM, so families who observe Shabbat can be seen after sundown when daytime care is inconvenient. Sunday hours are 12 PM to 8 PM, and weekday hours are 9 AM to 9 PM. Walk in any day during open hours; no appointment is needed, though reserving your place in line online shortens the wait.
Yes, and the clinic is designed with them in mind. Older patients get a slower-paced intake, a physician who sits and listens rather than rushing, medication reconciliation by a pharmacist-trained nurse, and large-print discharge instructions on request. With three generations often living side by side in Bay Harbor, we treat children, working adults, and older residents under one roof, with a physician-level exam every time.
Yes. On-site digital X-ray gives a result inside the clinic in about fifteen minutes, so there is no separate trip to an imaging center. If the X-ray shows a non-displaced fracture, we splint or cast the same visit. If it needs orthopedic follow-up, we arrange a direct referral. Point-of-care ultrasound is also available on-site for soft-tissue and joint questions.
A self-pay physician evaluation starts at $195. Common add-ons start from: digital X-ray $120, EKG $110, and a rapid strep or flu test $60. Final cost depends on the services your visit needs, and pricing is shared up front with no surprise billing. See our self-pay pricing page for the full sheet.
We accept most major commercial plans, including Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Oscar Health (urgent care), Medicare, and Medicare Advantage, along with many Medicaid plans. We do not accept Tricare. Our billing team verifies your benefits at check-in, and self-pay patients are always welcome with transparent, upfront pricing. Call (305) 537-6396 to confirm your specific plan.
Yes. Our clinical team speaks English, Spanish, Hebrew, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, French, and Creole. History-taking, the exam, medication instructions, and discharge planning happen in your preferred language, not through a translation line. This matters in a community as international as Bay Harbor Islands.
Yes. Sports physicals and school-entry forms are completed the same visit, including for Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center students and Miami-Dade County Public Schools athletes. Pricing is transparent and no appointment is required, though reserving a slot online reduces wait time. Routine immunizations and flu shots are available alongside the visit when age-appropriate.
Go to the ER or call 911 for chest pain, sudden one-sided weakness or speech difficulty, severe shortness of breath, a head injury with loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding that will not stop, or an infant under three months with a high fever. For everything else, walk in: we triage on arrival, and if the findings warrant the ER we stabilize and arrange transfer, frequently to Mount Sinai Miami Beach five minutes south or Aventura Hospital fifteen minutes north.
